Is there "An App For That"?

Post by Rich McVey » Mon May 09, 2011 1:23 pm

Im looking in Market hoping to find a WaLakes App... no dice.

Are there any plans for a WaLakes App?

I have apps for some other WebSite/Forums. Its real nice to have when on the road or away from a pc when you want to sit back and read or bs on the forum, and smoother than trying to use the browser on the phone.

Yup, same here. Android.

Was hoping Mike or Aaron would chime in with a "Its on its way".

COOL! Awesome!
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Actually for a Droid. The collective has not made me comply.

I work in hardware engineering, I dont do much coding. Scripting for tests and LabVIEW (graphical) mainly when I do. I dont know where to start with an app. Could be fun tho.

This is not the first time this has come up either, I think it would be a great addition to the site. Possibly offer it as a perk for premium members!

Or you can make it free by using adds from sponsers in the app. If its free to premium members than its limited to whoever is paying for it. If its free to all, then evetyone has access to it and the sponsers can have more exposure. Just my 2 cents. I wont be paying for the app when I can use the browser on my phone to access the site.

Kind of early to speculate but I would think it will be free.

Have you guys thought of using Tapatalk? It's a forum app that will run most all forum styles.

Makes it super easy to do the forum from your iPhone, or like me my iPod.

So is it here? I'd be happy with a mobile version of the site... Frankly they seem to work better sometimes than the app. And it's cross platform. Me and my crack berry would like to update from the water...

Tapa...what? [blink]

My grandmother used to tell me when she was young, it took her a while to learn how to use that newfangled device called the telephone. Good Lord, things were simpler back then. Why do I feel I am turning a crank and trying to speak with someone miles away on the Dakota prairie? [huh]
