Page Resetting.

Post by Awoods » Thu Feb 05, 2009 10:36 pm

It's probably just my computer, but I have a new dell laptop and whenever I go into the forums I start to scroll down and then the page just resets and starts me back at the top again. I then try to hit the back button and it takes like 3 or 4 backs to actually go back. I don't know what's wrong but it's getting kind of irritating.

Your mouse pad has a built in scroll on the right side of it. About a 1/4in. on from the right side of your mouse pad. Play around with it and you'll get the hang of it. I don't use it and just try to avoid that side when cruising around with the mouse. Maybe this is what your running into. As far as hitting the back button and it taking 3 or 4 x's, I don't know what you mean other than maybe your not letting the page load long enough or you have a slow connection. Hope this helps ya out.

It might be that your mouse settings are to sensitive. Go to preferences and see if there is a file for mouse settings. I know when I got my new eMac, the mouse settings were on maximum. Try adjusting the sensitivity or speed down some.

Mine is doing the resetting thing too and it is very irritating. I'll start to type and it resets to the top of the page again or does away with the blinking curser line.

We did have to change out our Ad code the other day. Let me know if it continues.

I had something similar the last few days but it seems to have stopped. When I pressed back it would go to the top of the current page instead of the previous page.
