Winter storm fishing trip!!

Here's some pict's of my fish'n trip friday when you all were staying home[flapper] start'd at McCabe pond where I caught a bunch of 5" bass, then on to the woodhouse property ponds were i took alot of pict's and caught 1 10" bass snowing pretty good up to that point. I then headed to Martha Lake aaaaaand found a bug hatch happening and the trout were going crazy so i was able to get close enough to catch 15 before they stop'd several pict's show why these fish were fat and fiesty as to what they were eating. 19 trout in all...

A hatch in the snow? and a corn hatch? :)

Hatch's can happen any time. when i got to Martha Lake the snow stop'd and the fish were feeding, as to the corn most likely was chum'd a day or two before.

I never knew that. I thought it had to be warm or warming to get a hatch.

check out youtube video of them fishing the yakima river during a midge hatch the same day.(April 2nd, 2010 powerhour fishing report.)
