I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Bragging may not bring happiness, but no man having caught a large fish goes home through an alley.

RE:What is your internet speed?
Serious? That's incredibly fast. Download is retrieving things to your computer, say watching a streaming video or downloading an illegal mp3 :dj: , upload is sending things from your computer to another location (for example, posting a photo on this web site).saltyseadog wrote:mine says 54.0 mbps what ever that means?
(just kidding about the illegal mp3s)

I've heard it has something to do with running cable through cow manure out there in the sticks...:geek:Marc Martyn wrote:You guys in the Sound area seem to have faster speed. Are you running a cable directly through Microsoft or something????[glare]

I am the slowest, Marc. I am out in the country, kinda. Don't have any city limits. I have deer in my yard sometimes. But there aren't any cows nearby for manure.

That could be something to do with it. We also have a lot of wind blowing across the prairie out here too.Gringo Pescador wrote:I've heard it has something to do with running cable through cow manure out there in the sticks...:geek:Marc Martyn wrote:You guys in the Sound area seem to have faster speed. Just for grins I ran this on my Microsoft workstation:
Speeds were 64.2 down and 5.5 up.
My computer at home, with 3 others connected and a teenager playing WOW-
22.85 down and 3.34 up.
Not too shabby.
