Thanks Dez, I can't imagine it being a concern, but I am still curious.

You could hand launch by the other parking lot(north end of Coulon) by the sailing club area parking lot, I see people launch their smaller water craft there all the time; if your boat is not registared keep the electric trolling motor off(Federal Navigateable waters) and row(area is patroled by police boat quite often. Also if you walk on the trail on the north end of coulon there is a public fishing pier there too,but the whole park has good fishing spots.

Before I bought my current boat, I launched a 9 foot plastic boat off of Coulon. Before the Sailboat parking, I would drag the boat to the waters edge on the grass. The parks guys would see me do it all the time, never said a thing. I also used a 3.3 hp gas to get out of the logged off area, and onto the main lake. I heard that is illegal, but never had a problem doing it.
I should be able to attend, and will have my boat there early. Could take a non-boater. We can arrange some more when its closer to the date.

Launch is indeed $10 if you are not a Renton resident, don't recall what the resident rate is. Launch is open 24 hours there.
Hope ya'll get a great turn out and have a great time.
It's after labor day so the fee is back down to $5. Hope to see you all there, with the Mrs Bodofish.

Please post up if you are going and who will be joining you and what you can bring to the bbq. We would like to be able to keep a running tally of how many people will be there and what is being brought so we can adjust accordingly if we need to grab something when it gets closer to the date.
Looks to be a great turnout so far.
I know more people will come once the date gets closer and people begin to clear up their calanders for that day.
Hope to see a lot of you there. I know it is going to be a great time and we are putting together some games and prizes so don't miss out. Also, I believe Mike or Aaron shall be bringing some WL.com stuff (lincence plate holders, etc.) to handout to sport around town. Thanks again Mike for putting this on the HOME page.

Yeah, that area is mainly for sailing and rowing area-- but you can row out there past the logs and then start your gas motor.
