I'm new here

Post by Pogue » Fri May 28, 2010 9:47 am

Hello everyone. I just happened on this site and figured I'd post some pics of my first plugs. I have done a few more since, I'll post them soon.

(I need to resize my pics)

Welcome to WL. Look forward to seeing your plugs (home-made I assume?).

Thanks! Yes I make everthing except the hooks. I just post some pics of the first ones I did last year. Maybe today I'll post a bunch more.

Hey, those looks sweet. Nice work. I really like the Alaskan Native looking design. What type of wood do you use?

I'm using poplar. I had issues with these in that the paint bled when I applied the epoxy. I'll post pics of the second batch I did also last year, the paint didn't bleed on those, but the epoxy is real hard to get down right. I just finished up my latest group and they turned out better. (should I start a new post for these or just keep adding pics to this one?)

Personally, I'd start a new thread with a title indicating the home carved lures...a lot of times other people will add pictures of their own work too, which can be fun. Come to think of it, there might already be a thread on this topic already. You can do a search or browse the different forum sections. However, you don't have to start a new thread. It's up to you.

Went back and looked myself. You can still start a new one if you like, but here is the link:
