Topwater Bait Recommendations?

Post by nickbell » Sun Aug 08, 2010 4:00 pm

I have been fishing this small pond in lakewood (ward lake) for a few months now. It is full of largemouths, some good sizes, most 1/2 pound-1 pound or so. I am starting to notice more and more bass jumping, surfacing ect. What topwater bait do you recommend? Thanks!

Also, you can see pics of the lake in the "Help Build The Lake Index Photo Library" thread. Look on the very last page at the bottom.

Haha, its one of the more popular ones

I cant catch any of those jumping ones, even after trying topwater, bums me out, maybe they're after flies?

Go big buzzbait. 1/2 oz min.

Then post the pics of your biggest catch. :)

Well I looked into the tiny torpedo, looks like a great lure. What other stores would have it beside cabelas? Cabelas is just too long of a drive. Would sportco or walmart have them. I know walmart has a GREAT selection of rapalas, but I don't know about anything else.

Better bring a credit card or a pocket full of cash. Auburn sports is like a small BPS. Just about everything you want they have. Real nice guy`s to. Ant questions just ask and they will be glad to pair you with your fishing needs. Wow I sound like sponsership.#-o

Im just not sure about buzzbaits. They seem to big for the bass in that little pond. Are there any really small buzzbaits out there?
