Did you fish a slower lure? Either topwater or subsurface. I'd say it's too hot and sunny for a buzzbait on some lakes.

Like i said, auburn sports and marine didnt have much, just buzzbaits. Thats what i used. I will head to sportco to get some poppers.

They actually have a good topwatwr selection. Wake baits, spooks in all sizes by a veriety of makers Popper's frogs prop baits. Suprised you didn't find what you wanted.

I looked and looked and looked. Didnt find any poppers, saw a heddon torpedo, not a good color/size though.

Try topwater towards dusk, this year I can't get bit in the AM, the PM is a different story, thats just for me though

8th st and Auburn way North. It's on the east side of auburn way, you should notice the boats. Only 3 parking spots up front. I usually just park on the other side of 8th street in the gravel lot.
