This is such a great idea, THANK YOU for getting it started Fishnislife! Bill and I would really like to be able to be there to visit with all the great fishing people from Washingtonlakes.com but we will be participating in a Muskie tournament at Lake Mayfield that weekend. Maybe next year we can make it. It sounds like it will be alot of fun.

I'm out to a couple of companies for some "swag" for our BBQ. Here are a few I'm chasing...

Joe's (almost a done deal)
Boater's World (almost a done deal)
Sportsmans Warehouse (submitted request to Mgr.)
Starbuck's (Strong possibility)
Bass Pro Shops (iffy...timing issues)
Sportco (submitted request to Mgr.)

If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to them (PM me so we don't clog up this post). I'm keeping WL.com out of it "officially", just a BUNCH of Bassheads looking for some Corporate Love. I'm not going into the whole marketing department angle, I'm just walking in with a letter and asking for some hats and T-shirts, merchandise, etc.

Let me know what you guys think.

Keep at it. Anything is better than nothing. Sometime sponsors just don't understand the significance of an offer.

UPDATE!

I just want to let everyone know that some of our favorite WL.com anglers have been generous enough to give their custom handmade baits to the bbq. These will be given away as various prizes at the event.

Thank you!

D.J. LaRoche (WCCT) - West Coast Custom Tackle http://www.westcoastcustomtackle.com/

danielt - danieltbaits http://www.geocities.com/danieltbaits/page2lures.htm

Check out their websites and make sure you support our local bait makers. They know what works!

Thanks D.J. and Daniel...that's very cool. I met with Sportman's Warehouse and Joe's today, both sounded like they were going to pitch in some merchandise. Starbuck's shot me down, they got all "corporate" on me (fill this form out, call this 800 number, etc.). I'm meeting with Sportco tomorrow, cross your fingers.

I'm bringing my propane grill, so unless you have to have that charcoal flavor, I don't think we'll need it. I guess it wouldn't hurt as a back-up.

Also, I might be pontooning it on the 15th (at least in the morning). I borrowed a guys 8' pontoon boat and have been hitting the lakes in the evenings, pretty freakin fun. So if anyone's up for joining me, I'll be launching around 8ish from the South Beach docks.

Can you please bring me a SMB or a LMB, I'm going to pontoon it also. Sounds like we're launching from the South Beach docks around 7 a.m. (ish).

Nice work on getting off that day.

I will try to be there by 7am but I will be just getting off work at 6:30am so maybe I will leave a little earlier. I work the graveyard shift.
