Why would you put that on this thread?Fish_Bait111397 wrote:First Chum From A River ! ha ha pretty ugly

Kzoo, he put that fish on this thread because he read the topic starter which says it must be a first or personal best. He claims it is his first chum, therefore making it into trophy of the year. Apparently he read more than you
RE:2010/11 Season River Trophies

nice job salmonator! If you compress that pic down to under 100kb it'll show on the screen instead of a link.

Here is the only pic we managed from a Sturgeon outing yesterday. Estimated at over 7 feet it took about 40 minutes to battle it to the boat for this picture. This was my PB sturgeon and largest fish I have ever landed on hook and line.
A big thanks to the new WAlakes members I got to meet as well.

Whether or not it hurts the fish it is illegal. I don't think the mods on this site condone breaking the law and flagrantly flaunting it in everyone's face, nor would I suggest doing it, you never know who reads this site.
Just my .02
Nice fish, btw.

RE:2010/11 Season River Trophies
I have literally been told to hold native steelhead out of the water because a game offical wanted to see it. I dont think that they care as much as people seem to think, you see pictures of native steelhead all over the internet and everyone has them on their phone. Have you ever watched an episode of hawg quest or another TV show where they didnt hold a native salmon or steelhead out of the water before releasing it? But they never get in any trouble. I like to get pics of my fish, and the ones i release are the only ones i like to get pics of. I have just been told so many times, ONLY on this website that its illegal, and i really dont think anyone out there on the rivers care...I know, there are those officials who would give tickets, but i have never been told or heard of anyone ever getting in trouble for it. Do you know if the fish IS LEGAL to keep, such as these hatchery fish i pictured are legal to hold out, even if you release them? Is the rule you cant hold them out if they have to be released, or if your going to release them regardless, you have to keep them in the water, just wondering on that one

But the thing is, I dont care if its illegal, because nobody in this state cares except for matt from washington lakes forum. So, i wanted to make it clear that i did not want a comment about it when i posted these fish, nor did i want anyone to think i keep steelhead or Spawning Chinook. But low and behold you did it. Just like you do it to every one of my friends and every single person who has posted a fish on this website. Everywhere i look you post it somewhere to someone.. It harms nobody and no fish, keep the comments to yourself. For the sake of all normal fishermen who dont give a a ****.

You need to calm down, man. I even complimented you on your fish in the first post. You are out of line.

Alright dude i appreciate you complimenting the fish, and i understand where your coming from. Im a little mad right now as i just got a call that canceled my week long steelhead trip planned for 2 months. I dont keep a lot of fish, and theres no other way for me to get pictures. I just wanted to post for once without someone commenting on my holding it out of the water, and focusing more on the fish. I guess its not gonna happen here, and ill post keepers only from now on.

FWIW, I'm with Matt. If you don't want someone commenting on your pictures then you might as well not post them. It's a public site, so you're opening the door to any comment someone wants to make. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you don't want to hear them, don't post.

Leave FF alone. Ive seen alot of folks in here hold up natives swearing they're hatcheries. Give me a break... Usually the first to complain are the first to bend the law. JMO. Like bent said . You dont like his pics dont look at them. He has his rights to post whatever. Also on the OP rivers you can retain a native. His two pics didnt even look like natives to me. I've seen much larger adipose fins in pics.
Who cares what the actual weight is. Does it really matter.I never weigh or photograph my fish. I take them home and eat them. The size just dosent matter.

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
