I have my eyes on a Taurus Raging Hornet. 8 Shot 22 hornet, they are no longer produced but can still be had for ~ 500$ I bought a 22LR from Cabelas store last time I drove through there, used Marlin with a nice bushnell scope, very clean got it off the shelf for 85$ couldn't complain.... shoots one on top of the other at 75 yards.

I want, I want!

It shoots a 22 hornet, which is slightly different. Looks like a REAL fun piece though!

yeah I did a search on it it looks to be a nice fun pistol to shoot I saw it's older brother today the raging Bull that also looked like a nice one to play with at the range.

I went to Bulls-eye today with the brother in-law we had a blast I started to Break in my new xd40 sub it shoots better than I thought I actually like it better than my Glock 23 I had. my next one I want is going to be a another xd or xdm but in a 9mm as rounds will not kill me to buy. i plan on hitting the range again tomorrow to get more used to my new Weapon. only shot 200 rounds today tomorrow I will shoot another 300.... but all in all good day didn't miss the paper once today and that's from the 14 21 and 28 markers..... tomorrow will be all 28 and beyond.

22 rounds are always fun to shoot as for the cost being so cheap to shoot them you can shoot all day for like 30 bucks with lane fees and rounds.....

Picked it up yesterday. Feels good. May take it to the range after lunch (Smoked Ribs)

Cabelas was a mad house durring the "4 Hour Sale". We got there about 11:30.

The line at the gun check out was an hour long when I signed the docs. Went back and checked thruout the day and the line was gone by 3:15. We were manning a table at the event so it was good timing.

Headed home and we're stopping at Surpulss Ammo and the road is shut down. Crap, I hope we get to the parking lot before we get to the police. Saved by half a block... Surpluss Ammo had a busy week but still had 3 cases of what I was lookin for left.

Im thinkin this is what all the fuss was about. We were only 5 miles from Western. News doesnt really say where he was recovered.

Wow and he didn't have that much time to goo it looks like. unless his review went south.seems in washington they have more people escape from prison than most other states and also a breeding ground for Serial killers. hopefully the police can catch this one without killing him also.

Congrats Rich on picking up the new pistol yesterday. I was going to head there yesterday also with my brother in law but we were on time constraints from the wives we had to go to dinner and make them happy. sowe were lucky just to get out and shoot. a little.

Lol. I was at Surplus Ammo and Arms yesterday (picking up a bounty of shotgun ammo) and the road was closed right after we left.

Smith and Wesson Sigma SW9VE

The claims about the stiff trigger and long throw were NOT exaggerated. The first few rounds, trying to find the firing point were actually a little spooky. Trigger kept going... and going... and going... pop.

I found myself over anticipating and over correcting to the shot. Lots of low shots that should not have been. I found myself shooting slightly to the right but most hits were within in the black and the first white ring.

Target 2, was much cleaner but still had some shots off the target but still on the sheet. #-o

Target 3 is nice. Hand was very tired though. Found it hard to hold steady. Good grouping.

Total 120 shots fired. Bullet 2 jammed. No other issues except a sore finger.

Over all, I like the gun, I shot better with this one than the 1949 S&W 38 or the Colt Mustang .380. I look forward to the next round on Wednesday.

Need to get the trigger lightened and start working out with the "Chuck Norris Eagle Claw, Grip of Death" strength builder...

this is a brand new gun? amd you already had bullets Jam up on you. I hope that is a fluke. sounds like a productive day. I did find myself shoot more to the lt when I was shooting but I think it got it corrected on box of the rounds I will see if it is something I fixed on my own or a fluke of just finally Aiming correctly.

Yea, Im the first owner. It was just the one round that jammed. Lots of guys on the S&W forums have the same experience. Kinda funny. Its been a while but once I get back onto things the patterns will tighten up. Im really looking forward to it.

I think I may change ammo also. My firing hand was filthy when I got done. Is it the budget ammo or is that typical? Ive never shot that many rounds at one time before with a semi.

me personally I would blame the rounds I never had a problem with my 380 S&W but I always shot somewhat quality rounds in it. I don't think I ever shot reloads out of any of my guns before come to think of it. but 1 out of 120 is not bad. I would once you get it dialed in use 200 of some better quality rounds and see how that works.

Also a trick I learned in the military is that I always slap the Mag which is once it is half full and then full I slap the mag to make sure all the rounds are seated with the back against the clip. I know they used this for the M16 rounds to bring down the number of Jams down. I just use it for every gun I own riffles to hand guns.

yeah when I went my new white tee shirt front was a nice gray color when done hands were nice and dark. lol I love that color on a good day of shooting at the range.

Back at the range yesterday. No jams at all.

My lil 380 however had a few rounds that did not fire. looks like there was no hammer impact on the primer. Simply pulling the hammer back and firing again worked. Older gun, with know issues, in need of some TLC.

The new Sigma, just plain and simple, worked flawless and I shot the bulls eye out of the target with 2 clips. Rapid fire all stayed on the sheet. Im getting used to the trigger and am happy with the purchase.

Rich if you're shooting reloads most of them are pretty dirty. For this reason i don't use wolf for hsm target ammo. Sellier and Bellot make a pretty clean ammo for the price. If ya can give those a try.

The 9mm a S&W Sigma 9, AMMO - $179 after tax for 1000. Lellier & Bellot - No misfires, no issues to date. New.

The .380 is a Colt MK IV Mustang and was running MAGTECH, 95gr FMC when I had all the jamming probs. I blame the gun at this point. REALLY needs breakdown and clean. My bad.

I was shopping around today and found a polished KAHR MK9 for a really good price..... I am SUPER tempted to buy the thing considering the asking price, and the fact that I have been shopping for a new CCW piece.
