Announcement!

I received notice from Rick at Fish-N-Fool Lures that the permit has been approved. We'll post the exact dates shortly. Then participating anglers will be getting their lure packs in the mail.

The Official Dates for the Derby Are:

May 14-29, 2011

If you have registered you'll be receiving in the mail your package of Fish-N-Fool lures which you'll be using in this Derby.

When the Derby starts, I will set up a new thread. When you begin to catch keeper fish, you'll make an initial post on this thread and this is where you will post the actual pictures. I will keep a Leader Board on this thread as well. Every time you have a new picture to post you'll just go into your original post and edit it to add the new picture. You can use the conversation thread to let everyone know if you edited and added fish pictures.

Remember to review the rules set out earlier so your fish and pictures will be accepted. When I mail out your packets I will include the rules and everything you'll need, including your ID code.

Since the derby runs two weeks, you'll have plenty of time to think about lakes you want to try and wait for favorable days/weather conditions.

I hope you're as excited as Rick and I are for this fun event! FUN is the key word here everyone. Any determinations as to picture acceptance will be made by Rick and myself and our decisions will be final.

One last thing - we will accept new anglers right up to the end of the day on May 13th, after that the field is locked. If you sign up at the last instant you won't get your lure packet for several days into the event. Also, be aware this event is limited to 100 anglers so if we get a bunch of anglers signing on you may miss the boat.
