Puyallup River Get-Together!

Post by Fish_Bait111397 » Mon Jun 27, 2011 2:08 am

I think itd be pretty cool if a BUNCH of WAlakers got together and went fishing at the Puyallup River this year,
we can pick a spot, and then jus have fun, catch fish, brag if you caught fish, and maybe have a friendly competition to see who can catch the biggest !
If more people are interested, we can pick a date, and where on the river we wanna fish.
Reason for this is i wanna meet more members off of here ! And im sure others do as well.
I've only met 2 members, flinginpooh, and some one else, but I cant remember his name ! LOL #-o
Any one else interested jus comment below!
Thanks !

Theres gotta be more people !

When: Saturday,August 27th.
Where: Cross the 66th ave bridge. Take a left. I don't know how far down, but there is a gravel road that leads down to the river.. There are about 5 or 6 spots that guys can park cars.. but, further down, if the water is shallow enough, there is a gravel bar that we fished off of last year.. we could probably take over that whole section. (Quote From Jens, Thanks !) Right across the street from martys Food Center,

Count me in. Last run, I met up with Tommytitan08, Mav186, Bentrod, Slipperyfish, and knox. There is a section on Levee we can all park and fish right off the bank. Egg mission for me. Is that bad?

I've only fished one section of the river, right there by the Soccer Fields.
How would we get to the spot on Levee from the soccer fields?
And which side of the river?

You just get off 167 on levee rd take a right at the light (ford dealership I think) then pick a spot. On the south side is where I usually fish.

Never experienced the Puke-Pink-Fest, I'll give it a go just to meet some of you guys in person.
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Go with a group of people and claim a good spot early. We usually meet up in groups of ten or so. Then you dont have to worry about jerks, and if they still get pissy with ya. Well theres ten of you lol.

Silvers and chinook have been far and few between the last couple of years. Hoping for a better 2011. Pinks will be the main show in town. No matter any jerk on your line is a good one unless it's the guy on the other side of the river.[thumbsup]
