RE:Puke help
right now puyallup has fish in it. You just need to catch em. Really Not hard to do right now. Dont worry about where and when they are there. Youll see those things in there until end of oct into nov even probably this year because the seasons are so messed up. Then youll be into silvers and chum so fish it till end of dec and youll catch fish.
More fish please!

RE:Puke help
As for where to fish anywhere you find an opening. Groups of fisherman are usually good fish holding places. But are combat fishing. As for a place with out rocks trees and snags......these are all the things that hold the fish. Overhanging trees provide shade, snags and rocks provide current brakes (resting spots). You will catch fish where these things are not available but not as many. For the most part if you do not get snagged sometimes you are not fishing in the right place. You can't feel your weight bounse on the bottom every few feet you need more weight. The fish are on the bottom in the gravel and under the trees near shore. Down river of the 66th street bridge you will see us standing 50ft +- off shore and facing back at the bank fishing. Good Luck.

Make and keep friends on the river. Have fun and besure and remeber the guy down stream always casts first to avoid tangles.

RE:Puke help
Are the reports that I hear about knifes being pulled out, rods being thrown in the river and fights breaking out true or exagerrated? I still remember the zoo that is the Puke from two years ago. Saw everything but rods being thrown in the river. I even remember people casting from the bank over a line of fisherman wading in the water including myself. I can deal with all that crap of the pink years. I just really want to know if the tempers are red hot like the fishing

I fished the cannery area too. Thats where I saw the tempers flare during the last pink run. I dont remember seeing any tempers flare on the Duwamish/Green though.

RE:Puke help
Hey returnofthefish I was down there the past 3 days below 66th ave bridge and knifes have been brought out to cut other peoples lines, didn't see any rods tossed in the water, and have only seen verbal fights nothing physical yet. Also see a lot of people out there that probably don't know what they are feeling for when fishing try to snag fish and people who are just trying to snag fish. But the kicker is that my buddy and I catch more fish than the people trying to snag. Just got to play around with the colors of the corkie and yarn and when we found the right colors we were hookin up way more than anyone else and tempers started to flare a bit from other anglers getting jealous so they would move over and take our spot but it was no problem cause we still caught fish where ever we went. Also lots of trash out there we picked up 3 garbage bags full of trash before we left.

RE:Puke help
Today I saw a guy fight a pink with a low drag. He must of walked 25 feet backwards trying to get the fish in. The guys around him stop fishing so he can land the fish. He lost the fish eventually. It was the best moments I saw on the Puyallup River today. Lots of laughs over that one.
