Are the Pinks at Lincoln Park (West Seattle) yet?

Post by jojo » Thu Aug 11, 2011 3:43 pm

I’ve gone to Dash Point with hit or miss success and I live in Seattle. I’ve only gone in the evenings over the past few days after work (5-6pm start) and by the time I get there the bites are sparse. I’ve done well at Lincoln Park two years ago but can’t remember when they start biting. I’d rather hit and miss there ?

Thanks all!

I have not been to Lincoln Park for a couple weeks it was real slow then but also early. The fish are at Browns point, Dash point and starting into the Puke all south of Licoln Park so there should be fish passing thru now. I can't get down until this weekend. I'm hoping they will be there. I'm going to try the incoming tide. Good luck.

I'll be at Lincoln on Sat. I know they've been getting some fish off of Carkeek.

Two out of Lincoln Park on Sun. Lots of fishermen and seen loads of fish.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

I have heard mixed things about Lincoln park from personal friends. Sometimes the pinks can be caught there, but sometimes u can leave empty handed like any other beach.

Picked up two coho and two pinks right out of Shilshole trolling shallow around Carkeek and Golden Gardens this morning. Saw lots of schools marking, saw many pinks caught amongst the other boats.... Saw 4 charter boats working the area in front of Shilshole down to West Point, so they are in the area...

I fished Lincoln Park yesterday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Two of us got nothing. There were a good 100 fisherpeople and I saw one fish caught in the 4 hours I was there. We casted Buzz Bombs, spoons, and jigs. I will try agaoin Tues evening.Heres my missing tooth.

Didn't duck fast enough from that empty hookset?
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Hahahaha.. I did do that a couple times avoiding the debris in the water. My spoon came flying back at me with a high rate of speed.Yes it was combative especially when this one guy crowded in next to me and caught a fish. That ticked me off a lil but most peeps were friendly enough.

There are plenty of pinks in over at Lincoln at this point both from the beach and the boat. Kings in the AM too(a little too far off for shore anglers).
