Post by Mike Carey » Mon Jan 16, 2012 1:40 pm

I bought this guitar about 5 years ago. Excellent condition, like NEW, never toured. Beautiful finish and "vine of life" inlays. Sold for $699 new.

Current style on Musician's Friend sell for $749

Aaaah man! I hate to see these sweet guitars go, did you at least save one for yourself? Or upgrade to something better?

no worries, I'm mainly a Fender guy. I have a project strat I want to update with a new neck and pickups.

The Schecter is a great guitar, just not my style.

[thumbup] Amen Mike! I have a C-1+ Diamond (pictured in my avatar). Beautiful, versatile axe. But my favorite is a Squire Strat that I bought new in the '80s for ~$250. I got lucky - this Squire plays and sounds as good as any "genuine" Strat I've played. The intonation is perfect and it stays in tune even when I whammy or bend the hell out of the strings.
