trout fishing at lake stickney

Post by nickknows » Fri Jun 29, 2012 12:28 am

[rolleyes] the fishing is good for the most part I used to always be the floating bait off the bottom kinda guy but lately have found a bobber and the old standby the worm has been working well I caught a good fifteen inch rainbow only my second time trying this method I like fishing this way and it opens you up to lots of different species of fish as to where with powerbait you'll usually only catch trout but I am still pretty new to the fishing scene I went one time as a kid and now days I started fishing a lot two years ago I love the sport when I get something bigger I'll let you know

Bobber fishing is great and your right about catching different speices of fish. Here's a good tip for you if you dont know.
When the wind is blowing park your boat about 50 feet from the weeds like lyle pads, and let the wind carry your bait towards the weeds. The ripples that the wind cause on the water cause the worm to dance. Very effective.
