I'd say a double uni-knot. It's what I use, though the Yucatan knot is supposed to be the strongest braid to mono joiner.

For the easiest knot, the double Uni for sure.

For the strongest and smoothest knot, there are three choices.
1) Seible knot
2) PT knot
3) My knot - LOL

The first two are on YouTube, but I have not put mine on yet. Someday I will get around to getting a video camera.

Uni to uni won the braid to flouro test on knot wars. I have used the leader knot with much success, I like the smaller knot it makes.

I use either blood knot or double uni

Blood or double uni.
I have $60,000 invested in a boat, motor, gear and baits all to catch a fish with a brain the size of a pea. I wouldn't have it any other way.

FC is a lot slicker, so it is harder to get the PT or Seible knot to hold. On the Double Uni, both Mono and FC will work just fine.

If you are only using a two foot leader, don't mess with the PT or Seible knot. These two knots take a lot of time to tie and are designed to be realed into the guides and onto the real. Just lubricate the double knot very well when you snug it down.

Much better knot then the blood knot, for size and overall strength.

Note that Knot Wars did not test the PT or Seible knot, both of which would have beat the double Uni in strength and size, but they take so long to tie that it probably is not worth the time for just a couple of feet of leader.

I like the Gob knot. No two are ever the same, they will never come undone, and you cannot untie them, ever.

OK, seriously, I use the double uniknot and on every thing else, the uniknot.
