Found this for you Rac. Seems to be some kind of paste ball. Never heard of it myself.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I see there is a link to my other post so I won’t get into that. Too bad I didn’t see this earlier there was a tackle store going out of business back east and he was selling 2.2 lbs/ 1 kilo for $4 had a lot of other gear for very good prices to. Anyways, I have another supplier for flavors, amino acids, dips etc. This one is out of CA:

One thing I found making these is that the longer the boil time the longer the bait lasts; however, the slower the attractant is released and vice versa. Myself, I boil them in relation to how long I will be able to fish, short session (2-3 hours) 1 minute and so on.

i fish with boilies a lot you really need to bait your swim up with them and get the carp used to feeding on them , also look up hair rig as you cant put a boilie on a hook

Being Doughy I take it that they float somewhat? Something like Powerbait does? I see why mine fell off right away with the casting. I totally made them wrong. I did it like a paper mache thing using flour and water and no cooking them. Thus the name boilies? I take it.

You can make them float if you need to i.e. to get on top of the weeds by putting them in the microwave right up until they are about to burn. Takes a few test runs though.
