Out of all the people today only one other person hit fish and that was way down river, and he got 2 in I think he said 4-5 casts(lots of people around him with no luck!). They where small but he got a limit when everyone else got skunked! No other bobber downs, no other action of any sort for anyone around. Caught her just as it got light out. Fished till noon. What a great way to end the year!!!! Checked to see if eggs where ready so I could take them to the hatchery but appeared to not be ripe yet. When opened the eggs spilled everywhere. Damm what a waste of a s*** load of eggs!!! Surprised to see loose eggs in such a bright fish.

Sounds like could be the last from the cascade for a while...sounds like it will close. If you are planning on heading up be sure and check the emegency closures on regs website to be sure it has not closed!

Nice fish FF! I thought I would make a comment, so it wouldn't be 666 anymore.

Fished the Dungeness in Sequim 2 days and got out on the Boggy one day finally with a fishing partner. Had two fish on during the boggy trip. lost one that felt HUGE! and the other was a beautiful 6 pound nat hen which i sent a pic to F.F. and now its not on my phone... and first day on the dungy, second cast, fish on! 12 pound hatchery buck, with a river that hardly gets any steelhead back i was pretty damn excited. so excited that i tripped over a rock and fell in so that day was cut short. second day i spent a few hrs working my favorite bridge holes over. picked on some silvers that were still hanging out but no steel. Im going into full blown plunking mode now. here is a pic of that buck though

Been slow... Fish are being caught but not many.. I've seen limits taken out though
There are some achievements which are never done in the presence of those who hear of them. Catching salmon is one, and working all night is another.

Trip to a bunch of different rivers steelheading with kockmandoo pics here also. We didnt kill the fish, but where can you do that this year? everything is slow, met a guy who said this is the worst year on the coast he has seen in a long time. We fished a smaller river on the way there for a hour and picked up a nice buck, a coastal stream the next day and got 3 big dollies and a 9lb hen steelhead, then another smaller river on the way home and picked up a couple chromer hatchery bucks, ONE of which was caught while I was backtrolling a brads wigler plug by standing on a log out in the creek and letting it work downstream through the seam, backed the steelhead up until he had nowhere to go, and he slammed the plug. Not a hot trip by no means, but got some steelhead. Video coming soon, look for the vid!
