OK, I'll play! Nice day last Sept and decided to give "Keeper" sturgeon a try. Convinced my wife to go for a boat ride and we hit the sloughs near Marysville. After an hour or so of her reading, and me paying attention to the rods, we were rewarded with this 49" keeper--a first for us! Note to self, don't remove fillet/cleaning knives from boat w/o replacing them. After hanging over the side of the boat and cleaning the critter with my 3" pocket knife we headed in. We found the meat to be excellent for broiling, BBQing and smoking.

PS I would have posted a pic of the Mrs. but figured she wouldn't take too kindly to the comments of the Uncouth and/or Unwashed...yep, I'm chicken. [rolleyes]

Duncan: It was only partly in jest that I suggested BDoutdoors.com in an earlier post. It might be a better fit for you, but I warn you: bring your "A" game. They're tougher on Rookies than the NFL [laugh] .

Nothing like coming back to the hotel after 10 hrs of doing the Portland show and banning two people from the site. Real simple people. Review the site regs which you all agree to when you join the site. Don't like what you agreed to, go elsewhere.

Yes, I did have to look it up.

Not being a mind reader, and not wanting to assume. Was the reason for asking for clarification. Did not seem out of line. Picking one of the three available categories, seemed simple enough.

Well i am at a loss to explain your need for clarification on my word choice? THE post had many other words that you pointed out already that fitted in with the word farcical, therefore after following the whole thread and watching it turn from funny to ludicous and finally to a travesty of utter c**p writing and name calling led me to use that word.
