My son put the seats on the boxes then came into the house and said the boatless seats were ready.

Take them to the lake, sit on the shore and imagine what you have to look forward to [thumbsup]

Do you have the aluminum boat you fished from, before purchasing the two tri hull boats?

I have never had an aluminum boat. I do have my old boat still. It is stripped of all the weapons that made it the fish killing machine she was.

How difficult would it be to recommission her, if the need for a tug on the rod became a strong desire?

Sorry, thought you had a thread where you patched an aluminum boat.

Your stripped boat must have been fiberglass then? If not fiberglass, then I have narrowed the floating possibilities to a inflatable!.......LOL! But I am fairly certain you were not discussing the repair of a inflatable, in a previous thread.

Trent is loaning me his smokercraft but his other boat needs engine work so we are sharing it.

I may have to fix my new to me fishfinder into a portable and put a downrigger on the ol' ol' girl and take the boat seat off the box. So I can use it.
One of the reasons for the new boat was my back can't sit but a couple hours in this boat. I can barley walk after a couple hours.

Trent's Clifford is needing a bearing but it is in the jet where it goes into the engine. Clifford has an inboard outboard (big motor). 65 horse is a little small for that big dog.
I took Trent's other boat out to use today to American. But the electric motor bracket has a pin (mine too) that had come out and I could not get it back in. I could not troll with it like that. I tried to start the big engine but the carburetor is particular and I didn't know the sequence to keep it running. I put it back on the trailer and out of the water. I had a pipe wrench in the Explorer so I hammered the pin back in but with the people coming in and out I didn't have time to try to fish. I had a turkey to cook yet.
So I went out and never wet a line.

Trent made that generous offer to use his boat but it costs me too much to go get it and take it back. I took a vacation day today planning to go fishing but I didn't have a boat to use. So I put stuff back on Ol' Girl until the new Ol' Girl is ready. Put new carpet on the bunks, put a seat back in, and put the new to her downrigger, rinsed her out. Bought a new trailer ball because mine is lost in Trent's garage (first Picture). I don't have a fish finder anymore but ...I have a fish killing machine.
