That's not a bad idea. I'll have to give it some thought.

There seems to be a few "koke" heads hanging around here so a little competitive action might be fun  [thumbsup]

Lake Stevens. Us West side guys do use Ice too. I would agree a Wa Lakes kok derby would be cool. Maybe some Wa Lakes swag as prizes too. Tight Lines all

Picture?
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I'm jealous and need to find some time to get out. My boat has been landlocked since the Lake Stevens Kokanee Derby. I need a fishing fix...

I got lucky and took my kido fishing Sat night to get my fix in. Up at b-ham for my oldest b-day tomorrow with grandma. Wanted to bring the boat and hit Samish but didnt want to leave through the guilt trip. I feel your pain my friend.

Angle Lake, slow at start but picked up as the sun came out. Trolling DN & FST spoons, lost a few at the boat and a few drive by's.

Eddie L, how was the parking at Angle? Any chance the construction is done already?
Nice fish by the way! Love that little lake, looking forward to fishing it once the parking opens back up.

I figured I should conform and post koke reports here:

The Dominator is BACK!!!!!!!

So the kokanee Dominator has been bugging me to get out and get some kokes. So we hooked up today after I got done with work. And he was off to a terrific start 2 kokes in the boat before I got 1! I had several take downs and lost 1 and he has 2, WTH? So I did a close inspection of my hook setup, and decided on a total redo was needed. And it worked great!
Don't know if you can see in this pic., but this fish got-em both, 1 in the top and the other in the bottom!
Image
So we go back and forth catching kokes, but I finished first, but he got the biggest. Good times again!

Same bag of tricks worked again:

Mixture of dodgers and lures.
As far as bait, pink gulp maggots and scented corn.
20'-30' down and 40 pulls back.

Hope everyone had a great day working while we were fishing [flapper]

Stevens was alright for us this morning, we didnt start catching fish for a couple hours but between all the little buggers and lost fish we cleaned out pretty good. Even caught a koke right off the bat while letting line out while just drifting out of gear.
Final total 4 cutts, 2 bows, 3 kokes, the bigger rainbow was probably close to 3 pounds and had one goofy nose.
Probably be back at it in the morning, good luck out there!
Hopefully the pictures arent to big and cut off?

Anyone been down on stevens lately? I know there people fishing but no reports.
I pulled 2 and lost a few yesterday in afternoon after hitting the river. Only fished from around noon till maybe 4 at the latest.
