how can you tell the rivers are open?
Because if you look at my browser history, the top searches are Washington lakes and the Skykomish river gauge. My wife doesn't want to talk to me cause every other sentence is something about a new jig or yarnie, or the river level.
Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?
read the regs for when the rivers are open
the wife? I have no idea, no need for a wifey.

My question would be why would your wife be checking your browser history? Bad juju... Anyway to answer your question. The only way to know if any body of water is open for fishing is to read the regs and check the WDFW web site to check for emergency closures.

With the amount of 1 or 2 time posters, and little kids making new threads over and over asking how to fish the same meat hole. It doesnt surprise me no one got the joke..
Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?
I got it, thought it was funny. Must be because I am experiencing the exact same thing.
Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?

I have similar issues but for all bodies of water and the NOAA weather

Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?
Sounds to me like a new wife is in order..... Am I really supposed to connect the dots from, "How do you tell a river is open?", to "My browser history is loaded with, and ending with my wife doesn't want to talk to me.... I'd say I'm not alone with 91 views and 7 responses.
Joke:
A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, "Why the long face?".

I read it and got it the first time. Just didn't have a response to it.

My sincerest apologies, I will save my dumb jokes for people with a sense of humor
Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?
Or at least a long enough attention span to actually read the whole post
Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?
You definitely don't need a new wife. However you may want to type a bit ssssllllllooooowwwweeeerrrr for certain people on here apparently. I got it and for sure know what you are talking about when it is time for certain species/bodies of water by what I have cluttering up my fishing area in my house.
My wife always just rolls hers eyes but realizes it's a good trade off with nice fresh fish.

Popcorn anyone?? This might get good.. Gonna put on my 3-d glasses for this one
Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?
You know they're open because I'm awake at 3am. But it's no secret, I have Waterwatch as one of my home tabs, so it's always up. I learned long ago to not even try to talk fishing with my wife. Although she does tie up a mean jig and leaders. She's crafty, and it's more fun than knitting.

Not even gonna call it. Too obvious. Wait for it...........................fear_no_fish wrote:Popcorn anyone?? This might get good.. Gonna put on my 3-d glasses for this one

I don't mind at all. It's great kids are looking to fish and catch fish. They are learning and trying to figure out how to catch fish. Click off the thread if it bugs you that bad.gfakkema wrote:I too am SICK of little kids asking questions. If you have questions, search previous threads or type it into google. If you still can't figure it out, then start a new thread. No need to thread jack to ask how to float fish. **Okay, off soap box!** I got the joke too though, although it might have taken me a second longer than some.fear_no_fish wrote:With the amount of 1 or 2 time posters, and little kids making new threads over and over asking how to fish the same meat hole. Re: how can you tell the rivers are open?
Just wondering, why only "Little kids"? I've seen plenty of adults do the same exact thing. Not trying to get into an argument, as I see the point too and don't agree with thread jacking. But a lot of people do it. Not just children.gfakkema wrote: I too am SICK of little kids asking questions. If you have questions, search previous threads or type it into google. Anyway, I too got the joke, and I wasn't planning on posting in the thread, but just wanted to at least mention that there are more than just kids who do the same thing and thread jack.
