Where's good bass fishing?

So, I've tried tapps a few times now, not bad. Did decent on Sawyer. And been to samammish a couple times. Each outing produced a few fish. Obviously not too familiar with the lakes yet so I'm looking for some help on some decent fishing locations for bass on these lakes. I also want to give lake Washington a try and have no idea where to start? I fish from a boat and am mostly a shoreline fisherman. Docks, coves, etc. calling upon the veterans here for some friendly advice. I fish mainly jigs and soft plastics.

Can some ody else chime in here. What is the name of that area on lake WA. That is on the East side of the "East channel?" I am talking about the canal of water streets, I.e. Venice....,kind of across from the mercer island launch. That always seemed to be an early season bingo for bass. Well, we're not so early in the season anymore, but what do the resident experts think?

Newport

there is a boat launch immediately north of those cannal and immediately north of that marina.

Newport,Yarrow Bay,Hunts Point.There are many. Ive fished Yarrow Bay with decent success. I fished off a private dock. But a boat would be better. Newport Shores area is good by the marina. People who live in the Newport canals were not too friendly.

Best bassin is east of the mts. Lake wa? for shore fishing I would give log boom park dock in kenmore a whirl. always had great luck catching largies there. Some other great lakes here are flowing lake in snohomish and roesiger.

My experiences with roesiger have been much different. Has anybody ever tried fishing the area just below the end of 520 bridge headed to Seattle? Lots of pads and coves in there...looks awesome for bassin.

i got a flatter bottom 14' Lowe.. its not to fun in choppy water, and lake WA can pick up pretty good.. fishing close to launches in calm water is what i'm looking for.. i have a 20hp and a minnkota so i can get around pretty good in a bigger lake if its not choppy..

Yup, that's the launch. It cost $13 the last time I used it a couple years ago.

Go out the launch channel, turn left go past the marina and you'll see the canal with a buoy in the middle of the canal. Stay to the right of the buoy going in.

AMX, have you fished the docks around the area you speak of? Where would your next location be after fishing this area from a boat?

Yes I have. I'd fish the pilings of the bridges. Then Webster's Point, then Madenbour Bay. Then Juanita Bay. Then a few docks all around the lake.

Is there a public boat launch somewhere around lake union? Anyone know?

Fish points early morning, first point right out of the newport shores, fish the weedline with jerk baits, blue or olive back to match the stickleback. If the conditions are right also try topwater. 90 bridge in the east channel is always holding fish, lots of concrete debris, drop shot the pilings or drag a football head between pilings and look for gravel and crap.

it's post spawn right now, they should be hanging around docks. Drop shotting or skipping senkos under docks.

The docks in the marina hold largies year round, but tough to get to them because of the boats blocking your casts.
