MA 10 Salmon

Post by jordanpaulmiller » Fri Jun 28, 2013 7:55 pm

OK, so I'm new to fishing but had a pretty good ling season and I'm ready for salmon. Well sorta ready. I've got a little boat, and a fishing pole... I would like to stay local. I live in Seattle so anywhere in Elliot bay or around Blake Island. So my biggest question is.... When do they get HERE!?!? Also, which ones come first? Pinks? Coho? Kings? I don't want to be out there when the pinks are hitting but mooching super deep for kings, etc. Any help would be awesome! Thanks.

Area 10 can be really good for resident silvers just north of Shilshoal marina.... Go north of the point and if you dont have down riggers , you can use deep 6 divers.... deep six, 2 foot 30 lb leader, dodger or flasher , 30" of 20 lb leader and a white green/ white pink hoochie.... remember its barbless so pinch your barbs, get out at first light and start at 15 pulls of line down and have fun..... look for bait on top or birds in the area, that will tell you where bait is at...

I haven't tried out their recommendations yet but I plan on it: http://www.salmonuniversity.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Like chongo said we have resident salmon as well as the fish coming in to spawn.
