I don't think that little feller was going for the wiggle wart. I think the wiggle wart was going for him.
Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
bummer for that little guy. a native too. a sad casualty, glad everyone got a laugh out of some injured wildlife. happens in fishing, just not something to yuck up in my opinion.

Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
From the last month or so of fishing the Puyallup, but I finally get to add something to one of these threads. Been a good summer for me, almost 2 punch cards full thanks to the pinks (and 4 coho so far). MUCH better than the 3 fish I punched last year, and there's more to come!

There are some achievements which are never done in the presence of those who hear of them. Catching salmon is one, and working all night is another.

Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
right on. It's been pretty darn good for silver on the Sky. I can't complain.
Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
nice work. like seeing the young bucks slaying some bucks.
Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
Here's a few from this morning on the Dungeness. Went 2 for 3. Pretty big fish, and they were pretty bright. Just darkened a little after being in the water for a while.

Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
mmmmmmm, the dungi..... Ill be over there this weekend
Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
Uh, its looking a little better, yeah. The fish are bigger and brighter. But they were only really in, in the early morning. And I didn't see any fish landed other than mine, in the morning. Saw a few other fish caught in the afternoon though. Not too bad of an opener, and things should get better everyday. Steelheadin360, you'll probably run into me if you plan on fishing up by the hatchery this weekend.

Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
those are some nice dungy hos blake, the one is pretty good size. I have been putting a hurt on the hos and even some kings too lately, gotta love this time of the year, only problem is there is so much fishing in so little time
Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
Thanks, yeah I was surprised to pull out that one. Hooked it maybe 5 feet from the bank too.Brat Bonker wrote:those are some nice dungy hos blake, the one is pretty good size. Haha, yeah, isn't that the truth. So many places to fish in October, so little time. I'd like to go other places, but I'll probably just be fishing the Dungy this month. Hoping its a good year.
Re: Salmon and Steelhead Fish Pictures
Lots and lots of chrome caught this week. Here are a few highlights:
