That's a Rufus Woods triploid. I see them sometimes in the Spokane area grocery stores marketed as steelhead also.

Never buy commercial steelhead in a restaurant or grocery store! Maybe I'm selfish but I believe 100% of open ocean raised steel should be allocated to subsistence (tribal mainly), sporties and spawning! No commercial industry at all and I'll never support it with my $ and encourage others to do the same.
Fish farming...well, Steelheadin360 sums it up best above.

Yep, pen fish from rufus. I don't think I'd call them steel but I have seen a good 30#er caught by the pens.

Last I heard, the state claims them to be trout also.... one of those triploid from Rufus is the state record holder for trout. No mention of the steelhead chromosomes in the "record" book, last I recall. Half rainbow...half steel..... it's what's in the stores today as steelhead....has been for years...

I guess there could be a half and half. Bows and Steel are genetically identical....... Must be old school Alaskan, nobody told them yet.... [razz]
