The comments and opinions made by me on this thread are mine solely and are not those of the website administration. Because they are misleading as to the administrations policies, I have deleted all my comments and quotes used on this thread except for my reply to the original question. If anyone was offended by these comments, I do apologize.

I missed your remarks Marc, so I can't comment on them. I get the impression that they were impassioned, and I respect you for choosing to apologize and remove them. I have had to withdraw my words on other forums as well.Marc Martyn wrote:The comments and opinions made by me on this thread are mine solely and are not those of the website administration. Having said that, I have already mentioned my issues with TU. But, what other options do we have to support and protect our resources right now?
I have always considered myself an educated environmentalist. But, over time, I find that organizations I once was strong in are so contrary to my positions, and to those I once held, that I can't support them with either money or time. Sure, I pick up garbage at the local fishing areas, without support or club direction. Sure, at Coffeepot I spend a half day hauling gravel from the drop point to the spawning location (apparently by myself because I made the first dump and the buckets never moved all season after that).
So, what do we do?
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
RE:Trout Unlimited?
Earlier this year I saw a pen with a bunch of juvenile coho in Des Moins in it and the man at the marina said that TU was raising them and they would be released soon.

A.P., A FEW OF THE THINGSI DO PERSONALLY TO CONTRIBUTE TIME AND MONEY, AFTER, BEING DISSATISFIED WITH WHAT MY MEBERSHIP DOLLARS WAS GOING TO:
1. BUILD HABITAT BOXES FOR THE WARMWTER ENHANCEMENT PROJECT AT POTHOLES
2. ORGANIZE TRIPS FOR AT-RISK OR UNDER-PRIVLEDGED YOUTH (GETTING THEM OUT ON THE WATER, AN PICKING UP TRASH AT WHEREVER THE TRIP IS TO (MOST RECENT SCOOTNEY RES. IN EASTERN WA.) TEACHING THEM HOW TO BE AMBASSADORS TO SPORT FISHING (A HUGE CONTRIBUTION TO THE FUTURE OF WASHINGTON FISHING).
3. LISTEN TO ALL THE KNOWLEDGE I CAN GET FROM LITTLERIVER, YELLOWBEAR, MARC MARTYN, ETC)
4. TRADE MY TIME FOR HUNTER'S TIME (HELP MY BUDDIES WITH THIER PHEASANT ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS, THEY IN TURN HELP ME ON ANY FIELD PROJECTS I GET INVOLVED WITH.
5. LISTEN AND WAIT FOR ANY OPPORTUNITY TO LEND A HAND (ANYONE HEAR OF ANY PROJECTS THAT NEED MANPOWER PM ME).
BESIDES THAT IM OPEN TO ANY IDEAS, BESIDES ANOTHER MEMBERSHIP!!

Add me to the manpower list if you need help. Just keep in mind that work makes me travel a lot, so I need notice, and flexibility.
