My husband Danny and I found a place to stay on Lake Chelan through groupon. Its a great deal! We were going to camp but this is just about as cheap. So if any of you have not found a place to stay check it out! Also we were going to bring our boat, but plans have changed. So we are coming boatless. We would love to find an open seat, but no biggie if we dont, I think it will still be fun!

My original fishing partner has a conflict with this date, so I may be able to take on 1-2 possibly.

Mike...Perhaps we could also start an open seat section under the food sign-up...or something like that.

My wife and daughter are coming, if they are in the boat I still have room for 1 or 2 BUT they won't be fishing the whole time so when they tire out I will have 3-4 open seats..

WDFW considers that a fishing derby/contest. We would have to have the proper applications and all that goes with running a derby.

OK everyone, I just got off the phone with our Event Chef, rseas. You are in for a BIG treat. The main course will be beef kabobs and fish tacos. Trust me, rseas knows how to cook. You WILL be well fed.

That said, I need you to check your RSVP and remind you this is a potluck. We are counting on people bringing various sides. Please look at the list and see what items we are short on and sign up to bring something.

The schedule is as follows:

rseas and I will be at the Mill Bay boat launch in Manson around 5:45am Saturday morning. We'll be greeting and sending people on their way to catch lots of kokanee. I figure to be on the water fishing around 6:30am. We'll probably fish till around noon and return to the Lakeshore RV Park to rest and then set everything up.

The Event will be set up behind sites H and I in the tent area. We need some people to bring folding tables and their own chairs. Please arrive at 4:30-4:45, dinner will be served promptly at 5pm. After dinner, say 5:30ish, our sponsors will be available and give some short information talks on their products and kokanee fishing. You'll have opportunities to visit with the guides and sponsors and pick up some kokanee fishing tips. At around 5:45-6pm we'll hand out the sponsor gifts and run the free raffle. Trust me, there is a lot of cool items to be given away, so don't go running off after dinner. Please, one sponsor gift packet per family, but everyone will get a raffle ticket for the raffle gifts.
