2016 Burbot Tournament and Chili Feed

Post by YJ Guide Service » Thu Feb 05, 2015 3:13 pm

YJ Guide Service is thinking about putting on a Burbot tournament next Jan. We are wondering if people would be interested in doing something like this. It would be a 6 hour tournament with a chili and cornbread feed to follow. It would be a individual tournament not a team event. We are thinking of a entry fee of $20 per person which includes the chili feed. We will be looking for sponsors and donations to give away at the event as well as the cash entry fee minus the permit fee. Prizes would be given to 1st-4th. We would go off of each participant entering only one fish, with the 4 biggest fish taking 1st-4th. We would have a 15 boat (30 person) limit as long as the permit is ok'd with WDFW. This would be a OPEN tournament, everyone welcome. We are thinking of doing it Jan 9th 2016 of next year. Please everyone give me your input on weather people would be willing to participate in this event or not next year. If we don't get enough interest in the event it wont be worth doing. Good fishing everyone....

Thanks, YJ.
I would have to pass though. That is farther than I would travel.

I still have a lot to learn about fishing for burbot so my entry fee will probably just be a donation but I would be willing to participate plus I like chilli. [biggrin]

Count me in to donate a prize. If it works on my schedule, I'll definitely do some fishing.
