It is a lot of fun for sure. Chelan is great that time of year.
Craig - bringing your spouse? We have some wives planning an afternoon wine tasting tour, FYI.

I know, I'd like to do it as well but I'm worried I'll lose the energy to set up the Pot Luck!
So far Gringo and my wife are planning this, I'm sure Melodie will be warmly welcomed to join the fun.

Let's clarify - I will be on daddy duty while Mike & I's wives are out sampling the local wares and draining our bank accounts
For the Wine tour, last year it was timed Saturday early afternoon (after fishing/before the potluck). I've been instructed to ask for those interested to indicate on here so we can get a count. From that it can be decided if transportation needs to be acquired or not and venues can be scoped out.
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Mike,
I would like to attend again this year. It will be me + 1. We will be staying in Manson but look forward to the get together. Last year I brought a bunch of sodas. I can do that again unless there is something specific you would like me to bring? If you are short something let me know. I am flexible.

ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF THE CASTING CONTEST!
Years ago when we did our annual picnics Fishnislife and Big Bass Dez would MC a casting contest. A certain moderator who shall remain nameless (you guess who) won two years in a row and cemented himself in WashingtonLakes Folklore as "The Cast Master". He'll no doubt be trying for his third title - it's up to everyone to deny him!
We'll run the contest in the afternoon, probably around 3pm. Winner will get a nice prize to be determine.
I'm hoping fishnislife will be able to come and help Dez, we'll see.

To chime back in about what we will be bringing for the potluck, we will bring appetizers, water chestnuts wrapped with bacon then dipped in bbq sauce and cooked on the Traeger grill. We will keep track of the head count so we are sure to prepare enough for everybody.

I saw a couple post regarding accommodations in Chelan. I own a condo in the Grandview on the Lake Resort
(
http://www.grandviewonthelake.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I won't be able to make it over for the Get-Together and would be happy to extend a discounted rate to my fellow fishermen and fisherwomen. Parking is a bit tight there during the busy season, but I think there's a large gated and secure parking area for boats just around the north side of the lake, which is close to Grandview. Shoot me an email if you are interested.

Can't wait for this fantastic event!! It's a time that all the "Koke Addicts" get together to discuss their techniques. There may be some bragging going on as well! It was a great time last year and it's one of the events that I look forward to. Hope to see everyone there. I'll bring some chips!
