That's great news. I'll miss worrying about backing off the old ramp though. 8-[

Wow that's gunna be sweet. Now if only we could get the state to put a ramp in under 522. I mean its already there for the construction, but they will probably rip it out and throw up some Eco blocks and no tresspassing signs.

Almost two years and still no sign of the new ramp, guess my idea of a fast tracked project and Snohomish counties are different

Another good idea goes away. Somebody probably thinks it costs too much money and shot it down.

good idea for the public, just like fixing hiway 2. it has been so long since they served the populace I don't even know why these issues come up......they will never happen unless you can buy it like Bloomberg......

Didnt take any pictures but there is a ramp dug out in between the current boat launch and the soccer fields. Its just a little ways below the beach where everyone stands in the corner. Looks like it will only be a single lane though. No concrete or anything so it will probably be a while still before its done.

They postponed the ramp because of the OSO mudslide. Snohomish county had to divert money to cleanup. Same thing happened with a campground that was supposed to get built on the Skykomish in Sultan. Looks like the county finally has the funding again to build these projects.

Yea, right by the pilchuck. Prime fishing spot too, it's pretty exciting. Won't really be able to fully use it until next year, but it's about time!

I hope the Cady park ramp doesn't get removed, I have lots of good memories at that ramp. Including backing gringo Pescador's giant trailer down the ramp! [omg]

It's way cleaned up from what it was a few years ago. I watched some guys launch a bigger CW than mine there last year. Mine should drop right in, it's the parking afterwards that's tough. It's a lot nicer right now than most of the launches on the upper Skagit. It's easy, just remember, back fast brake hard you'll be the in water in no time. :)

I've been launching at Rotary Park for the parking and the entertainment value. Watching people launch during low tide there is VERY entertaining #-o
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Oh I concur! I'm surprised I haven't seen you. A few weeks ago I watched a guy take up both launch slots getting ready, then he backed down and went so far back the trailer started to come back up out of the water. When he decided he wasn't going to launch, it was too late. His truck was stuck and spinning in 4WD. I just pulled around and drove to Lowell. Which by the way has it's own set of interests to watch.

Looks like the ramp is finished. All the painting is done, not as big as I had hoped, looks like maybe 6 trailer parking spots and maybe 8 more slots just for cars. Still no idea when it will be open.
I will try to get some pictures later this week.
