Skykomish Chinook

Post by kevin1514 » Mon Jun 06, 2016 12:48 pm

Once the rivers open back up I was planning on trying out the hatchery chinook fishery on the Skykomish for the first time. In the past I've fished for salmon behind the prison and at Al Borlin park. Anyone have any experience fishing in these areas for chinook with any luck or do I need to go to another part of the river?

Get closer to the Wallace river. Most are headed there.

Find deeper pools if you can twitch or bobber and jigs is solid and so are gold/brass spoons but bobber eggs are ticket if your serious fish the stretches below the Wallace along the edges and slow/fast seams as that's where the fish will probably be. If your interested in water lower in the system find deep water.
