Boat Rentals - Lake Washington/Sammamish
I'm planning to visit Washington this summer and am wondering if there are any boat rentals (fishing boats) available on Lake Washington or Sammamish. I've looked online but really haven't found anything yet. Any advise? Thanks.

they rent canoes/rowboats out of the WAC by husky bay but you probably won't want to navigate far from that area in those boats.

Where ya from Sermak? I use to live in Kalamazoo.

There's really nowhere that rents boats on Washington aside from some small sailboats and canoes, etc. However, you might be able to find some friendly fishermen on here who wouldn't mind taking you along when you're in town. That's what I'd focus on, because I really can't think of any place to rent a half way decent boat for just a few days on these lakes.
Certainty is for those who have learned and believed only one truth...

Yarrow Bay Marine rents boats, not fishing boats though...
Another option is a guide to take you out for a day....

Thanks folks. Kzoo, I am from Midland. My son just moved out to Kirkland last summer and I will be going out to visit him soon. Seems strange to me that these 2 large lakes have no where to rent fishing boats.

Sorry sermak, there's not much of a market for renting fishing boats out here in Seattle. You can try Craigs list and look for personal owners. What are u guys fishing for? Lake Washington has unbelievable perch fishing.sermak wrote:Thanks folks. Kzoo, I am from Midland. My son just moved out to Kirkland last summer and I will be going out to visit him soon. The boats you can rent on these lakes are either kayaks and canoes or larger powerboats and pontoons. I kind of understand the reasoning as the smaller powerboats, noramlly rented out for fishing, can easily be flipped on either of these lakes due to weather conditions or large boat wakes. Add to that, waterfront property on both lakes is wickedly exspensive and taxed out the wazoo. No way a boat and tackle shop could afford to stay in business, especially with a short peak season of 3 to 4 months.

Check out http://boatbound.co, kind of an airbnb for boats. My buddy rented one and took it out on the sound, said he'll do it again, good experience.
Re: Boat Rentals - Lake Washington/Sammamish
Well, to be honest, it's difficult to find a reliable boat rental company. Most people around me prefer to rent with nearby agencies. Still, I think there are a few platforms like http://boatsbound.co & clickandboat.com/us that might be worth looking at.
