bass fishing in rapjohn lake

I live in pierce county and have fished rapjohn for trout but it looks good for bass to with alot of lily pads. I have never fished for bass I have caught a few but not on purpose. Any tips on baits, colors, how to use that bait or just how the fishing on that lake is. I want to try somthing new bass are suposed to give a great fight so I thougt I might try it

I've had good luck with a white spinnerbait. The water might not be warm enough yet.
Also might try various crankbaits. I know swimbaits are very popular but I rarely use and don't know much about them.
