RC Boat club looking for pond

Hi All,
I contacted Mike here at his site & requested permission to post here to see if someone knew of a pond that we could use. He has very graciously allowed me to do so. Thank You Mike!!!

I belong to a radio controlled warship club: http://www.queensown.org We build and battle warships from the 1900 to 1945 construction period.

We have lost the pond we have been using for the last 24 years and are seeking a new one, as home construction right next to the pond curtailed our activities there. We hold events approximately 6 to 8 weekends a year, and are therefore looking for one for occasional & not constant use. As you will note in our Insurance page, we carry insurance for both the pond owner & for individuals present during our activities. We are very interested in a long term rent/lease agreement.

Our ideal pond would be approximately 180 x 180 feet (or larger) and be at least 18" deep in the majority, plus it would be clear of water growth or we would be allowed to clear it.

Approximately 150 feet of uninhibited perimeter space would be optimal, with parking for about a dozen vehicles (unimproved is OK as long as vehicle access is granted or available). 30 to 50 feet of shoreline access for launching models would be ideal.

A secluded site is the best option; the club would be available to assist in making improvements if desired.

No problem, I had no idea there was even such a hobby group. Pretty interesting stuff. Please let us know when you find a pond, I would enjoy watching these vessels battle it out.

If I find a pond I will definitely tell you. It sounds like an awesome thing to do. It also sounds like it would be fun to watch.
