8.47lbs Smallmouth caught in Columbia River

Sweet fish!!! I wonder how many times it was released before attaining that size.

Considering the vastness of the Columbia River and the overall light bass fishing pressure, I would guess it is quite likely that this was the first time this fish had seen a lure. Just a guess.

Lastly- I would like to see the guy that caught it be traveling up stream on the columbia and have one big wave wipe out his entire set up. All rods and tackle gone. That would be a fair punishment from the fish gods

I didn't know how many people would react to me speaking my mind.

I really just don't see the point in keeping/killing Bass. They are not known to be a great tasting fish. Especially when they are that old.

I mean think of how much bigger that fish could have gotten? He knows where he caught it. I would let that pig go until next spawn and take the Wa state record. Then let it go again.


Look at Dotty(Lake Dixon Super Hog) that just died a few months back. The same guys caught her a few times, let her go. Other people caught her, let her go. She made alot of people super happy. She died of what looks like natural causes or a Bass diabetes she was a tad over wieght. LOL



If you want to stuff your pig have a few pics taken and measure it out and give all the info to the taxidermist and he'll gladly make you an exact replica of it.

I don't know maybe i am super strange but i would like to slap people that do that especially to trophy's like that. :(

Well, unfortunately the first response earned a hefty suspension. I have no problem with people expressing their opinions BUT if you have to use the language and foulness that post had then you seriously need to find a different web site. I'm actually pretty upset about it. Maybe it's the heat but the past few days I've been dealing with people that think they can post whatever foul language abbreviations and nasty comments they feel like. It's getting old.
