need a new deer spot

Post by Mossy » Fri Nov 21, 2008 2:16 pm

I'm currently looking for a new hunting spot for late archery. My grandparent's property in colville isn't producing anymore. They've had a rash of poachers killing everything that moves and they haven't seen anything this year. I'm not really asking for a specific area but wondering if anyone has been successful this year. I've read the weekender report for the modern rifle season and the success rate was only 7% this year!

Mossy, I put in four straight days in the 49 Degrees unit two weeks back and with the rain the only deer I saw were during slow walks. With the weather stand hunting proved futile. Overall I'll have to wait for next year.

Tonight I was talking to a guy with acreage outside of Washougal and even down south he said he isn't seeing the deer like last year.
Take a kid fishing and make some reel memories.
