double spinner

Post by big fish lite line » Wed Apr 08, 2009 4:47 pm

I have made many spinners for trout fishing and the other day i thought of trying to put two spinner blades and clevises on one spinner. I was thinking it would displace twice as much water and create more vibrations.

what do you guys think?
here's a very quick sketch

If you attached a jpeg instead of the bmp, and made the filesize smaller than 250kb it would show up here and we wouldnt have to download it.

Buy A Vibrax Blue Fox= match the body not the blade with a single colored Gama hook it will not let you down.

Trout, Coho, Steelhead, Kings, Sockeyes, Dollies all have been punished with a simple change and the correct colors that match the waters you press.

When I first got staffed I spinner and spoon fished everything 24-7 1.5 years until it was mastered almost as fine as bait

Not much anymore but there are always at least 5-6 on me vest side I customized if the call was needed:chef:

Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

so essentially it looks like a few beads with dual spinners on a trebble hook. i havent tried the double spinner, but i have a lure that is a single hook that is a fly on the hook, with the beads, and a single spinner, and it did me quite well yesterday. i would think that a double spinner on it would make the spinners catch on each other and you would get less than what you are really after.

The double bladed spinner idea was done a few years back and resulted in one of the most incredible lures for muskie fishing. The musky lures are huge but I don't see why one couldn't downsize them for fishing other species.

Kudos to you for coming up with the idea on your own! Build a few, use them, and let us know how they work. We fisher folk are suckers for new gear.

well I made a prototype and it worked great for the short time i have used it. I caught 2 triploids on it while trolling but it seamed to be too heavy for the lake I was trolling in because it was only like 6-8ft deep.

the trips were about 16-19inches.

hey swede, actually I prefer the treble hooks for spinners cause when fish hit a spinner most the time they are just smacking it out of aggression and curiosity. If your using a single hook you are limiting your chances of a hookup because the hook could be pointed the other direction while the trout smacks your spinner. also i don't mind keeping any fish that are not going to survive.
