It is amazing to me that people kill smallmouth and eat them. There are warnings about the heavy metals in those fish. Maybe people who eat them are already suffering from brain damage, from eating them.
Just think, if bhuynh had brought the camera to the lake and let that fish go we all could have had a shot at enjoying the thrill of catching it.

I read the report of this fish and about vomited. Not only is he eating good size bass, he's also taking a crap load of craws out of the lake as well. Man, double screwing up the fishery.

I should have kept quiet, but I couldn't help it.

haha thanks alot guys, first of all let me tell you all that i don't even eat fish, i fish for sport but this guy swallowed the lure and wouldn't even move when i released him. he was flopping and bleeding next to the dock for like 10 mins so i gave him to my friend. this pic was taken around 2 am, my phone doesn't take good pics outside at that time. it's not always the same situation. thanks for the support fellas.........

Sounds like selective harvest to me which the last I heard was a good thing. In fact, on many lakes it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep some of the smaller bass to eat.

Regarding health warnings, I expect most fish that reside permanently in Washington or Sammamish are less than pristine. I'm not familiar with the details of specific warnings on local lakes but if they are anything like those in MN most of the warning tell you to limit your consumption of a specific species to a certain amount per month.

As long as he is complying with the harvest regulations for crayfish, what is the big deal? If you think the regulations are too liberal, blame the state and not the angler.
