I'll be 59 yrs. old in December, textbook blood pressure, at my high school weight and take no meds. Generally in pretty good condition in that I can still work as a remodeling contractor with few problems. However, the joints in my hands are going south fast. My hand specialist tells me that my hands are worn out. Not a good thing to have in my profession. Hope to be able to keep working at least 3 more years. With any luck, some cortisone injections will make that possible.

Did your buddy have any joint replacements? I guess that is an option for me, but my doctor told me that the type of work I do, I would most likely blow out the new joints in a few months and then they could do absolutely nothing after that. I've got another appointment in early Oct. and I'll have a thorough exam then and see just what all the options are.

When I was born, the Dead Sea was just sick.

I just turned 30 on Sept. 11th. I am getting fat and going bald. It's about time for me to grow a ponytail and get a sports car.:-({|=

I would bag the idea of the ponytail. When you get older, it will most likely start turning gray, then you will appear to be an old fat guy trying to look young cruising around in a sports car. :geek:

Perhaps work on the weight now. Diet and exercise will take that off. Start looking at yourself as having a "receding hairline". Change your opinion of yourself :thumright 30 years old isn't that old.

Listen to Tim Mcgraw's "My next 30 years." Good stuff for the 30th birthday.

Hold off on the mid-life crisis as 40 is the new 30, so you're not that old now. Maybe by the time you hit 40 then it'll be the new 50.

NO NO NO, Go to the gym and just shave your head -POOF- you're 25 again.

By the way, I turned 36 this summer. Getting older doesn't really bother me much. I think I will be a pretty good old guy.

I don't think that we stop....we just don't have as much time to do it. :-k

My kids are my reason. When they get older, I'm sure I'll have more time to go fishing....hopefully. [-o<

Well, if they are like me, yes when they are involved in a plane crash, nuclear war, fatal car crash, hit by a meteorite or covered by the next ice age. Without any of those occurrences happening, I kept on fishng:cheers:
