RE:How Old Are You?
hello nwtigertamers........My name is Rick and my e-mail is indianatigermuskie@hotmail.com. I admit i am illiterate when it come to computers. It took me an hour to find out how to post on your forum. I would love to pick the brain of a fellow tiger chaser. I have fished muskies for the last 14 years, most of the time in Indiana. When it comes to logging in fish , you will only see two I have ever logged in at muskies inc. The only reason I did so because upper long lake in Indiana was a lake kept secret for years and was in danger losing its muskies. I would like to share some information with anybody that is interested in how I fish for tiger muskies.

RE:How Old Are You?
Oh really? What about the old wood pier next to jetty north of the Ferry dock? And it was rebuilt at least once when I was a kid.Gonefishing wrote:I'm so old I remember a time when Edmond's didn't have the fishing pier. A time when you could actually go fishing off the old pedestrian walk area to the ferry. A time when you could catch fish. A time when we had hake and true cod and a lot of silvers that actually hit the lure instead of looking at it like thats stupid why would I want to bite that?
The pedestrian walk pier was good but the best fishin was going over the railing and climbing under the ferry dock. The shadow of the dock let you clearly see the striped and piling perch schooling around the pilings. We caught them by floating a barnacle on an egg hook in front of their faces. And the noise and prop wash from the ferries coming in was kind of a rush too. I remember catching true cod and the flounders didn't have tumors.
A time when you could catch fish.
Yeah, when we went out to Possesion we'd usually limit- 3 Kings.
Oh, and when I was born- the moon didn't have craters.

Enjoy it now while you can......... time slips by very fast. I Just turned 59 last month. This last summer I got together with a large group of friends that I hadn't seen since I was 18 years old. My 40th class reunion was a real eye opener as to how the years seem to melt away.

RE:How Old Are You?
A priest once said something to me that has always stuck with me - we were talking a walk in a cemetary and he said "I always look at the tomb stones and wonder not about the beginning and ending dates, but about the dash in-between".
Seemed pretty profound to my 20-something mind at the time. Still does.

My 40th reunion is comming up in a year.Yikes.I wake up breathing, still got some hair,I still fish and crab.I figure I'm doing ok.I went to a nursing home recently and saw a guy I went to school with.He looked pretty rough after a stroke hit him. I thank the good Lord daily for a good life and a healthy one (not including all my stupid accidents I do)
