I have cleared it with "The boss- my honey" to fish New Years day in the morning. Start the New Year with some fish! I'll give a holler to T'08 and others to get this on.

Jens, where you going on NY Day? I thought about going somewhere myself. Gotta try my new XMas present - Daiwa bait caster and Lamiglass rod.

One more week of being on the disabled list. Then its on the river. I have caught more steel using a pink Corky with pink and orange yarn then on any other lure made.I like the Pearlescent pink.Still its hard to beat the orange and green set up .When I get to my hole I start by casting a weight only to get a feel for the bottom then tie up.Good luck and happy holidays to all.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

:cyclopsan :cyclopsan Had zero fish in 3 hours xmas morning- went 0/1 today. This time, my faulty egg loop knot disaster strikes again. The fish broke the knot right above the eye of the hook. ](*,) ](*,)

Donman, probably somewhere local, I'll email you when I get details.

Let's just say there was no doubt about the hit. The first fish snapped my 8lb leader. Switched to 12lb. Next cast, bam! I said many prayers fighting this fish. I don't know if I really enjoyed the fight, I was so worried about it breaking me off. I took my time fighting him. Pretty happy guy I am today!! and relieved...

Curado... From the pic of your dads fish, to me it looks like he was using an aero jig drifter... Is that what he was using?
