Winter steel isnt over but gear up for spring chinook
Ive been seeing big forcasts for spring returns. I cant wait myself. I hope some rivers close to me will have good runs as well. Heres an artical I found.

Hmm, I wonder how many of these spring Chinook's will reach the McKenzie River in Oregon(where I am originally from). Since the McKenzie turns into the Willamette, which then connects to the Columbia, I am sure there will be a few.
Better remember to pack my gear if I visit back home this spring :colors:

I'd love to go after some of those springers myself, but the columbia's a little too far south for me. Gas is even more expensive when you're laid off.
When times get tough, just keep on fishin'!!!
