$25 for a second pole was not what I pushed so hard to get. I guess I should be more specific when writing them and have said a FREE second pole. I will never be able to afford the endorsement, not sure I would buy it anyway if I could, but I hope a lot of people do because of the massive cuts coming to fisheries because of our budget ignorant governor.

One thing it shows is that ifyou attatch a fee to something it is easier to get it enacted. Maybe next we can fish with any gear we want if we pay an extra $50.

Whats not clear to me..

Is a juvenile (under 14) who is not required to have a license, still required to get the 2 pole endorsement if he wants to use the second pole?

I would assume yes but until I see it in print I wouldnt want to pay for it and not need it. Or need it and not pay... either way. Just would like them to be clear on it.

A good question on the juvi 2nd pole fee. I'm going to guess that it either is not an option or that it is going to cost you, I mean your kid, $25 to use a second rod. I'll have a re-read of the regs, I wasn't really looking at it from a juvi perspective.

I can't find the source document for the regulation, only an (for lack of a better term) "advertisement" page on WDFW website.

Anglers 14 and under don't require a license, so can't actually get an endorsement, implying you wouldn't need one..... but you can't use 2 pole endorsements on junior angler only lakes/ponds. A bit confusing.

Oregon's 2pole endorsement regulation specifically states juniors do not require the endorsement.

I'll get one just because.....that and when you take a 4 year old fishing they lose interest and go off and play until something is on the line....so I wont feel like Im running afoul of the law...plus I know it goes toward the WDFW budget.
