Non river fishing - Blackmouth area13
I have a friend with a boat without downriggers. Any advice on how to fish for the winter blackmouth in area 13 using a small skiff. Thanks.

I think your best bet is to deep six it or try to mooch for them. That is what i would do. Kings seem to like the kelp beds. Hope this helps.

Divers are terribly unreliable. It's very hard to tell how deep they actually are.
There are people that use downriggers on kayaks, get one for your skiff.

Try trolling a green squid and flasher using a deep six between devils head and the green can or you can use a mooch-a-jig there as well,or even cut plug herring and free drift the west side of anderson island.I haved picked up quite a few resident silvers doing that!Good Luck!
