The term "ax" came out of the '60's and '70' because of the popularity of grabbing your guitar by the neck and swinging it like an "ax" into the stage or over the drum kit...

"T1FP"....glad to see you're back. Part of maturity is coming clean on your mistakes, which you've done, and not repeating them. We were all 18 once (some A LOT longer ago than others...LOL), you'll be just fine. Just remember, always look people in the eye, have a good hand shake and do what you say you're gonna do, even if it's not popular.

NICE looking LMB, I too share in your love of fishing and guitar ('98 Fender Tele).
God Bless our brave men and women fighting to preserve our way of life!!!

I've got an interesting Thread Im thinking about starting in the Bass Forum, Im not sure if any1 has mentioned it, but Im interested, so Stop me if Im wrong. Check it out!

We all have interests outside of fishing. Guitars are pretty popular. I used to play a long time ago, but haven't tried for a number of years. I have a Fender acoustic that will be a winter project one of these years. It could definitely expand my horizons from just gospel singing into bluegrass gospel. Two of my grown sons are very good guitar players, as are three of my brothers.

Alot are just done fishing for the season and have their minds on other things, hunting, back-to-school, holidays, work, etc. We should see alot of names come popping back in after the sportsman shows and when the early season fishing starts up again. I'm sure most will be back by spring break. Hope so...

In my mind, there has never been a slow time for fishing for me. My pulse raises every time I see a new body of water.:bounce: I guess you could call that "hard core".

Hey sarge,

Thank you for your service!!!

Welcome to washingtonlakes.com and welcome to Washington state!

If you go to the bass forum you can read a lot of good stuff on the bass fishing around here. Also you can go to the lake reports for the lakes closest to you and check what has been successful (if you are anywhere near the lakes that Dave Newby reports on his reports are very detailed and specific on technique and water conditions) Unfortunately this is not prime bass time...in the spring it gets a lot better here.

If you have specific questions about a body of water or particular technique you can go to the bass forum and post a question.

Good luck,
Lewis

Like myself, Mark's a fellow fisherman from Southern California. We both want to get up there and try the fishing; however, we're part of a nice community forum down here w/ folks who gets together to fish FW and SW everywhere in the southland. Forums are great to get fellow anglers and newbies out to fish right. Hopefully, this forum will inform my bro (Bubbadel) about the right methods and conditions of catching great fish in WA.
