LOL. Yes, I know. To first catch a Steelhead, one must first fish for Steelhead. I think Confucious said that. :-k
One of these days I'll get my chance. Keep up the great work jens and keep those pictures coming.

Thanks Bentrod- I'll do my best to put you on a Steel. Been trying the last few times out with my son, the fishing has been poor as of late.

Fishing up north has been pretty darn slow. My buddy picked one up about a week ago. I have been skunked the last several times out but so has just about everyone else that I have seen up there. The fish are there they just have a serious case of lock jaw. I have thrown drift gear, floats and jigs, shrimp, spinners, rvrfhr spoons black and 50/50's and nothing is getting a reaction. The water is is just too low we need a couple of days of rain and I'm sure it will pick up again. In the meantime I'm thinking this weeks outings will be to the south to try and pick up a king or two. :chef:

I hear ya about the Kings, but my passion is for Steelies. But like your river, my Notellum has cooled off and the fish just aren't where I have found them earlier in the season. I fished Sunday and threw everything at them, nothing. Getting a small case of King fever as well. Are you going to fish the Skok?

I will probably be going saturday and or sunday. Also waiting for the ditch to open up north as well. But you are right about steelies looking forward to a productive winter season on a couple of my favorite rivers up here.

Nicely done! Not an easy task to get a fish to take anything up there right now. Were you floating or drifting gear? Anyhow yes please bring the rain. I've been checking water levels all day hoping that there would be a bump from todays rain but nothing so far.
