Anyone seen or picked up any Shad yet? They should be comming in at any time now.

I fry the roe from the Female(of course) shad. Clean ,devein,roll in a egg wash and cornmeal then fry. Excellent.they are fierce fighters. Basically Return is correct, excellent crab bait.They are high in oil.

Shad season doesn't open yet until May 16 on the Columbia, at the Bonny Dam area

Thanks Grin... ROTF I'll bank it for Shad. Thats an expensive drive at 4 a gallon for crab bait.

Anyone going this weekend to Bonneville Dam? I'll be heading down with a buddy. Over 60K yesterday... perfect time to go and no lic. req this weekend!
